Development of a pre-feasibility study on behalf of International Energy Company
The Pre-Feasibility Study covered:
• Outline of the detailed rationale for supply, operation and management of a flexible power generation using power vessels fuelled from various sources, including LNG and HFO.
• Overview of two potential locations (Nigeria and the Bahamas).
• Consideration and overview of local issues, geographical and operational blockers.
• Evaluation of power delivery requirements in relation to specifying and sourcing equipment, including:
o The timeframe for delivery and costs for both new and refurbished (cancelled order) generators.
o The costs of both new and refurbished barges.
o The treatment/purification methods for limiting environmental impact of HFO fueled generators.
• A financial overview of the above in spreadsheet form, to enable the review of CAPEX & OPEX costs and relevant scenarios to be run to evaluate project viability.
